I will not invent a "12 sourdoughs in April" log. Here is how a Classic actually behaves in a home kitchen:

- Bread dough. Possible. Not what I would buy a Classic for if bread is the main event. The motor is the entry KitchenAid. Heavy dough at low speed is where these strain. Serious bread bakers want a Pro / Bowl-Lift.
- Attachments. The hub is the long game: grinder, pasta, spiralizer. Only buy for the hub if you will buy the attachments. Most people will not.
Cleanup. Bowl in the dishwasher. Wipe the head. Sugar under the band is how mixers look ten years old in two. Unplug it. I have seen too many cords near a wet sink.
Storage. This is a counter appliance. If it lives in a box in the garage, you do not own a mixer. You own guilt. Measure 14 inches of dedicated counter or do not buy it.
Durability. Metal gears in the good years, a motor you should not stall. It is a workhorse if you respect the dough load. It is not a 20-quart planetary.
