Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
This policy explains exactly what data The Deals Home collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers only this website.
What we collect
There are two ways we hold data about you, and no others.
- Your email address, but only if you type it into a newsletter signup form. We store the address and the date you subscribed. We do not ask for, or store, your name, address, payment details or any other personal information.
- Anonymous usage analytics, collected by Google Analytics (measurement ID
G-VXSQJTBSCQ) on every page. This records things like which pages were viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device type and referring site.
We do not run advertising pixels, we do not sell or rent any data, and we do not build profiles across other websites.
Why we collect it
- Email addresses are used for one purpose: sending deal alerts and new reviews. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Analytics tell us which pages are useful so we know what to write and fix. We look at aggregates, not individuals.
Where your data lives
Newsletter addresses are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon in the United States (us-east-1). The site itself is served by Vercel and fronted by Cloudflare, both of which keep short-lived request logs containing IP addresses as part of normal operation. Analytics data is held by Google.
How long we keep it
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, at which point the record is removed. Google Analytics data expires according to Google's own retention settings.
Amazon affiliate links
Product links on this site are Amazon Associates links carrying the tag thedealshome-20. When you follow one, Amazon may set its own cookies and will know you arrived from here. What you do on Amazon is governed by Amazon's privacy notice, not this one. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how that relationship works.
Cookies
The cookies used on this site, and how to turn them off, are listed in the Cookie Notice.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. If you are in the UK, EU or California you additionally have statutory rights to access, portability, erasure, and to object to processing.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. Because the only identifier we hold is your email address, requests are answered from the address in question. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
