But time is one thing Harry doesn’t have. Ghouls are prowling Chicago and taking out innocent civilians. Harry’s brother is dying, and Harry doesn’t know how to help him. And last but certainly not least, the Winter Queen of the Fae has allied with the White Court of vampires—and Harry’s been betrothed to the seductive, deadly vampire Lara Raith to seal the deal. Customer Reviews Summary

I loved it. In some ways it might be my favourite book in the series. A little of that might be is recency bias, and a lot of that is i dont think this book will be as easy to pick up and just go as Skin Game or Cold Days or Dead Beat are.A reread of Twelve Months will require a certain kind of mood. But regardless, loved it. It finally feels like the series has a capstone for the events set off by Changes. It feels like Harry and the setting are ready for the rest of the series.I think most of all, before Twelve Months thinking about where the series could go had me kind of dour. Things seemed like they could only really get more bleak up through to the apocalyptic trilogy. But this book changes that, and im more hopeful for the rest of whats to come than I think i thought was possible. I always thought id enjoy and like every book Jim Butcher has yet to write, but now I feel like im also going to come away feeling happy fuzzy feelings when I think back on the Dresden Files after series is done. A handkerchief. Hot damn.
