Customer Reviews Summary
For a world swanning through the multiverse upon a giant turtle it is populated with the most diverse group of species. Trolls, dwarves, gnomes, zombies, vampires and werewolves not to mention all the different types of humans. A rollicking ride navigating intrigue, murder mystery, politics, diplomacy, foreigners, migrant ghettos, culture clash, dilemmas of personal responsibility, class divisions and workplace strife. In short as many labels as you can think of that are needed to cover everyday life and working abroad in momentous times. The brilliance of Terry Pratchett is his ability to weave the fabric of society and all the parallels to showcase the absurdity of human interaction and the power of personality. He is still teaching us stuff and we are learning stuff while we read with a massive smile on our faces, occasionally a frown or even puzzled disbelief(that can't be the way if works...can it)..As is probably obvious I am a fan of this book and this author. If you haven't already delved into the discworld series then treat yourself to some giggles, chuckles and the odd belly laugh.
