Wolverine DualSense Pre-Order Is $84 Live — MW4 Standard PS5 Hits $69 (Catalog Still $29.99 / $79.99)
Live Amazon.com today: Marvel's Wolverine Battle Yellow DualSense is $84.00 pre-order (Sep 15). Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Standard on PS5 is $69.00 pre-order. Our catalog still shows $29.99 and $79.99. Same seller. Similar money. Pad vs game — pick one job.

Verdict: The DualSense Wireless Controller – Marvel's Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition is a $84.00 Amazon.com pre-order today (release September 15, 2026). Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 | Standard Edition | PlayStation 5 is a $69.00 Amazon.com pre-order. Our catalog still shows the pad at $29.99 and the game at $79.99 — ignore both cards. Same week, same seller, similar money. One is a limited controller (game sold separately). One is the full Standard edition for PS5. I would not buy both on autopilot.
I cover consumer tech from San Francisco. I am not posting a frame-time log or a multiplayer KD. I am asking where $69–$84 should go if you already own a PS5 and you opened Amazon for a pre-order.
What it is
The Wolverine Battle Yellow DualSense is an official PlayStation limited DualSense: yellow grips, black face, claw-slash paint inspired by Wolverine. Listing copy leans on haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for Adamantium claw combat. Marvel's Wolverine the game is sold separately — this SKU is the pad, not a bundle. Live Amazon today: $84.00, pre-order, seller Amazon.com, release dated September 15, 2026. Our catalog card still says $29.99 with a null rating blob. That $29.99 is not the live buy box.
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Standard Edition for PlayStation 5 is the Standard pre-order of the next Modern Warfare entry on PS5. Catalog blurb covers the Korean Peninsula invasion setup and Captain Price. Live Amazon today: $69.00, pre-order, seller Amazon.com. Our catalog still shows $79.99. Live is $10.99 under the catalog card. I am not inventing a Vault Edition feature list that is not on this Standard ASIN.
Both are Amazon.com pre-orders. Neither is a used third-party mystery seller at a fake clearance price.
Who it's for
Buy the Wolverine DualSense at $84.00 if you already planned a second DualSense and the claw paint is why you opened the tab. Limited cosmetics are the whole pitch. Confirm you are fine waiting until September 15, 2026. Confirm you already own — or will separately buy — Marvel's Wolverine if the haptics pitch mattered to you. Confirm Amazon.com is still the seller before you park a pre-order.
Buy Modern Warfare 4 Standard at $69.00 if the job is the game on PS5 and you wanted the campaign/multiplayer SKU, not a yellow pad. Live $69.00 beats our stale $79.99 catalog card by $10.99. Pre-order means you are buying a street date, not a tonight install — re-check the live release line on the Amazon card before you commit.
Who should skip
Skip the DualSense if you needed the game in the box. It is not in the box. Skip it if a standard DualSense already on your shelf is enough and you were about to pay an $84 cosmetics tax. Skip it if $84 only looked good because our site still flashed $29.99.
Skip MW4 Standard if you were shopping a Vault or collector SKU — this ASIN is Standard on PS5. Skip it if you do not own a PS5. Skip both if your pre-order budget was under $60 and you were hoping the catalog $29.99 pad was real.
Honest nits
- Catalog is wrong on both. Pad catalog $29.99 vs live $84.00. Game catalog $79.99 vs live $69.00. I am quoting live Amazon.com buy boxes from a US zip today, September 8, 2026.
- Pre-order, not ship-today. DualSense release line is September 15, 2026. MW4 is also a pre-order on the live card — re-read the street date on Amazon before you treat either like a tonight delivery.
- Controller is not the game. Wolverine DualSense listing is explicit: Marvel's Wolverine game sold separately. Do not invent a bundle.
- No fake lab. I am not inventing adaptive-trigger force curves or a multiplayer tick-rate test. The DualSense pitch is haptics plus paint. The MW4 pitch is the Standard SKU at $69.
- Commission is thin. Associates SiteStripe showed about 1% on this Video Games path this morning. That does not change the buy decision; it is just the honest affiliate note.
Value verdict
Buy the $69 MW4 Standard if you came for the game. Buy the $84 Wolverine DualSense if you came for the limited pad and you already knew the game was separate. Buy neither if the only number you trusted was our $29.99 catalog ghost.
Worth $84 over a plain DualSense you already own? Only if the claw paint is the point. Worth $69 for MW4 Standard on PS5? Yes if that is the game you meant to pre-order — and the live card is already $10.99 under our stale catalog.
