I coach out of a Denver garage. Our catalog still shows a $109 'list' on a 5 lb pair. Here are the four Amazon Basics prices I could verify today — and the two pairs I actually tell people to buy.

Amazon's own title for B01LR5RO5U is the 5-pound pair. B01LR5SEKE is the 15-pound pair. Use the ASIN, not the generic "Amazon Basics Dumbbell" search — that search mixes weights.
Who should buy which pair
Start with 5 lb if you have not lifted in a year. I would rather you finish 3x10 goblet squats with clean form than buy 15s and turn every rep into a shrug.
Add 15s when the 5s feel like a warm-up. That is the pair I recommend for suitcase carries and single-arm rows. They are heavy enough to matter and light enough that you can still do 8–12 reps.
Skip a full 5–50 rack until you have used two pairs for a month. A home gym dies when the first purchase is a wall of iron you trip over.
What these do well
