My oh my, I loved this novel. It is gripping and enjoyable read, if not uncomfortable at times. The plot is intricate with believable characters to love and hate. The writing is excellent. The book is long but engaging. The cult aspect of the story is captivating. Strike and Elacott are superb as is their work colleagues. Pat is becoming a favourite but also Midge and Barclay.Strike and Robin are asked by a father to investigate his son who has joined a cult. His father has tried on numerous occasions to get his son back without success and turns to Cormoran and Robin for help. Twists and turns keep the reader intrigued to the end. I recommend this novel.
