Molly's Aroid Mix is a soil-free potting mix for tropical and other indoor plants that prefer a chunky, well-aerated and fast-draining mix that doesn't stay too wet after watering. Molly's Aroid Mix is ideal for Pothos, Alocasia, Ficus, Palms, Anthurium, Calathea, Aglaonema, Monstera, Philodendron, and other tropical and indoor plants. Molly's Aroid Mix contains a carefully-blended mix of premium mineral and organic ingredients including Orchiata Pinus radiata bark, coir chips, coir fiber, expanded clay, worm castings, calcitic and dolomitic limestone, coarse horticultural perlite, horticultural charcoal, Rhizophagus irregularis, Bacillus pumilus, assorted nutrients, and a wetting agent. Rhizophagus irregularis is a mycorrhizal agent in the soil acting as an extension of the plant's root system and is more effective in nutrient and water absorption than the roots themselves. Bacillus pumilus colonize plant roots; enhancing nutrient provision, controlling pathogens, and promoting natural defense systems. As a soilless potting mix, Molly's Aroid Mix is a cleaner alternative to soil-based potting mixes, providing good airflow around root systems and draining quickly after each watering. Molly's Aroid Mix contains more than 20 ingredients plants need, providing a balanced mix of key nutrients and health-promoting additives. Molly's Aroid Mix is sold in a recyclable bag that includes a zipper to reseal the bag between uses. One 5 Dry Quart bag fills approximately 10-12 4" pots, or, 6-8 5" pots, or, 4-6 6" pots. When watering your plants, make sure to water thoroughly and drain fully. If the mix is left to dry out completely, bottom-watering is recommended for rehydration.
