Kidde K5CO Carbon Monoxide Detector Alarm with 10-Year Sensor Life

Key Features

• Long-Lasting Protection: A 10-year electrochemical sensor monitors carbon monoxide levels around the clock; an end of life warning lets you know when it's time to replace the alarm, so you're never left guessing
• Alerts You Straight Away: An 85 dB sounder at 3 m sounds as soon as carbon monoxide is detected; four quick beeps repeat every five seconds with a flashing red light, so the warning is easy to recognise
• Ready to Use Straight Away: Supplied with two AA alkaline batteries, so you can fit it straight from the box; the batteries are user replaceable, so there's no need to change the whole alarm when they run down
• Fits Where You Need It: Fix it to the wall with the screws and wall plugs included, or stand it on a shelf or table; a flexible choice for living rooms, bedrooms and rooms with fuel-burning appliances
• Independently Tested: Kitemark certified by the British Standards Institution (BSI) to BS EN 50291-1:2018 for carbon monoxide detection in domestic premises; designed for use in family homes and flats

In the package I received were 2 good quality Duracell AA batteries to power the alarm. Also in the box were 2 screws (with wall plugs) for fixing to a wall, a 22-page user guide (quick start on last page), and a rather handy instructional sticker to place somewhere for guidance on what safety steps to take if the alarm goes off.The unit feels sturdy and is compact enough to make it portable (even to take on holiday). It can be placed on any level surface - I have mine on a shelf not far from the central heating system. The front of the unit is very user-friendly with 3 LEDs showing power, fault, and alarm status. The test/reset button is a good size and feels positive when pushed to do the weekly test. Incidentally, the alarm is nice and loud!Overall, I think the Kidde K5CO Carbon Monoxide detector is a great buy and I would highly recommend it if you are looking for something that is super-easy to set up.Read moreRead less13 people found this helpfulHelpfulSending feedback...Thank you for your feedback.Sorry, we failed to record your vote.
