These heated socks were bought as a gift for a family member who often complains of having cold feet. They've not been put to proper use yet, but I've briefly tested them out and they seem great.I purchased them in "FREE SIZE 36-48", and they are a very good fit for my feet (UK9). I'd guess they'd fit well a few sizes either side of that. The material is very soft and comfortable, slightly thicker than daily socks (more like hiking socks). They sit quite high on the calf (about halfway between ankle and knee), but I found this to be comfortable.The batteries are credit card-sized (though much thicker), and are barely noticeable in the sock when worn. The socks generate a nice warmth when switched on, which I think would be especially effective when worn with shoes (so the heat doesn't dissipate into the floor).I can't comment on the durability of the socks, the battery life, or how well the socks wash, but I'm giving 5 stars with the benefit of doubt. I'll update if either of these is found to be lacking.Overall, a great product!
