Key Features

  • 【600mm/s Printing Speed】With enhanced fluidity, ELEGOO RAPID PETG filament melts rapidly and flows smoothly, allowing for up to 600mm/s fast printing speed. You can complete the projects quickly without compromising on quality
  • 【Better Light Transmittance】Rapid PETG has good light transmittance, less warping and low shrinkage compared to pla. Any parts that involve light diffusion is an ideal use of PETG
  • 【Good Toughness & Easy to Use】PETG filament offers the perfect balance of durability and ease of use. It delivers exceptional impact resistance and toughness while maintaining the effortless printability of pla, making it an ideal choice for printing durable daily-use items
  • 【Less-tangle & Neatly Wound】Full mechanical winding and strict manual inspection ensures that all rapid petg filaments are neatly wound, effectively reduces tangles and snap issues. Please use it as soon as possible after unpacking, dry it completely before using again
  • 【Fit For Most 3D Printers】Rapid PETG filament fit for both regular printers and high speed printers, perfectly for most high speed printer such as Neptune 4 series, K1 sereis, Ender 3 series, Kobra series, Adventure series and more

Customer Reviews Summary

The ELEGOO Rapid PETG is currently one of the best value-for-money filaments on the market. It successfully bridges the gap between the easy printability of PLA and the durability of PETG, all while allowing for significantly faster print speeds than traditional PETG.However, the "600mm/s" claim is largely theoretical. In a real-world scenario, this filament shines in the 200–300mm/s range. It is an excellent choice for functional parts, brackets, and prototypes where you want the part done quickly and cheaply, but it requires active moisture management and some calibration to avoid stringing.Detailed Performance Breakdown1. Speed & FlowMarketing vs. Reality: While the box claims speeds up to 600mm/s, this is the limit of the filament breaking, not the limit of quality. The Sweet Spot: On modern printers (Bambu Lab X1/P1, Creality K1, Elegoo Neptune 4), this filament performs reliably between 200mm/s and 300mm/s.Flow Rate: It has a higher melt flow index than standard PETG. This means you can push it faster without under-extrusion, but it also means it is "oozier," leading to potential stringing if your retraction settings aren't perfect.2. Color & Finish (Beige)Aesthetic: The "Beige" color is a creamy, light tan. It is reminiscent of "vintage computer" beige or a very light coffee.Opacity: Like most standard PETG, it is glossy and slightly translucent. In thin areas (1-2 walls), you will see infill patterns. You need about 4+ walls to make it look fully solid/opaque.Surface Quality: It produces a very shiny, smooth finish. If you prefer a matte look, this is not the filament for you.3. Strength & AdhesionLayer Adhesion: Excellent. Rapid PETG bonds very well at higher temperatures (240°C+), making parts difficult to delaminate.Bed Adhesion: It sticks aggressively.Warning: If you use a smooth PEI or glass sheet, use a release agent (glue stick or hairspray). If you print directly on smooth PEI, it may fuse to the sheet and tear it upon removal.Best Surface: Textured PEI plates are ideal; the texture hides the bottom layer lines and prints usually release once the plate cools down.4. Ease of UseMoisture Sensitivity (Critical): This filament is highly hygroscopic. Even vacuum-sealed bags from the factory can arrive with moisture.Sign of wet filament: Popping/crackling noises during printing, excessive stringing, or pockmarks on the surface.Fix: Dry it at 65°C for 4–6 hours before your first serious print.Stringing: It strings more than PLA. You will likely see "wisps" or "angel hairs" that need to be blasted with a heat gun post-print.Recommended Settings (Starting Point)To get the best results, do not use "Generic PETG" profiles, as they are often too slow and too cool for this specific "Rapid" formula.SettingRecommendationNotesNozzle Temp240°C – 260°CHigher speeds need higher heat. Go 250°C+ for speeds over 200mm/s.Bed Temp70°C – 80°C70°C is usually safe; 80°C prevents warping on large flat parts.Print Speed200 – 300 mm/sOuter walls should be slower (150 mm/s) for better surface finish.Cooling Fan30% – 50%unlike standard PETG, Rapid PETG likes some cooling. 80% for bridges.Retraction0.5mm - 0.8mmFor Direct Drive. Bowden setups may need 3-5mm.Volumetric Flow18 - 22 mm³/sCap this in your slicer to avoid under-extrusion.
