FINALLY a cream that doesn't irritate my face. I have slightly dry and sensitive skin (very fair, English rose type, I'm 43) and the area around my eyes gets itchy & red, especially if my eyes water. In fact it became so itchy & irritating that I actually had to give up moisturising and I even stopped wearing makeup. Yes I know, I hear you - moisturising your face is kinda important, plus I looked pretty with makeup, and I couldn't wear anything especially around my eyes, not even mascara! I don't wear loads, but wearing nothing at all honestly made me feel a little sad, I liked looking pretty.For years I've tried every single "sensitive" / "hypoallergenic blah, blah, blah" face moisturing product available at Boots. I spent a small fortune (arggh). Then I read these reviews and tried this (the CREAM in a tub, NOT the pump-dispensed Lotion) and... it hasn't irritated me! Omg, the joy of moisturising, and then a few days later, even better.. I applied Foundation & Mascara on top and my skin was still okay.This is cream, it's fairly thick, you don't need too much, or the excess will sit on your skin, it absorbs well, is non-greasy, unperfumed and leaves my skin feeling very soft & supple, plus it's not stupidly expensive.Maybe all this might all sound trivial to you, and yes it is just a "1st world" problem. But I also went through chemo and I lost all my hair too (amongst other things.. I was pregnant & engaged - yep, real heartbreaking time). Anyway, tonight I'm in Portugal for a week with my man, I applied this cream, followed by my makeup, and styled my curly hair... It's been a long while since my skin felt comfortable, and I saw myself looking pretty. Looking back at myself in the mirror I saw someone that I haven't seen for far too long.. and she was smiling back at me.
