4.5⭐Carl and Donut have made it to floor 3 of the dungeons. The danger around them grows greater with each minute they spend there, and now it's not just NPC's that have it out for them... Intergalactic politics are playing a part in their story. New races, class selection, side quests and new enemy types await the crawlers.This book built on what was established in book 1, building not only on the dungeon but the dungeons place on the intergalactic stage, and what external forces influence the game.New ideas including race and class selection and side quests were introduced in this book. I love how this is written - everything is in terms that are so easy to understand and I think this book has a lot of appeal to people who don't necessarily like videogames but do want a ridiculously fun fantasy adventure.Carl and Donut's relationship continued to develop. I loved Donut's growth in particular - she's still definitely a cat, but she's growing in empathy and we got a look at other facets of her personality.Mordecai played a greater role in this book too, and he was such a big personality. He's becoming one of my favorite characters. I'm so excited to see where this goes next!
