I hate to let the cat out of the bag by giving a five star review on these as Barebells are by far the best tasting and one of the highest protein meal replacement bars I have ever had the pleasure of finding. Cashew caramel is my favourite and one of the hardest to find. If in doubt, grab yourself a mix box and you’ll be able to find your favourite that way much faster. Price wise this is the best price I have found anywhere from Costco to other sellers on Amazon as well as health food stores. The seller has also shown to have a great selection.It’s hard for me to give this review because I just love these so much when I don’t have time to sit down and eat, especially after doing 2, 8 hour shifts on a full moon. Those of you that our nurse practitioners, like myself, or RN’s, or anyone on a shift type schedule career will absolutely thank yourself for taking the time to find your favourite and throwing it in your kit, knowing you’ve got a back up. They are not chalky or dry. I keep mine in the fridge until they’re ready to be eaten and then I let them sit out for about 10 minutes because I find them a little too hard when they refrigerated.I did find a really good sale on them at a big box store and they were close to expiry so I put them in the freezer in the sealed air sucked bag and forgot about them for about seven months. I pulled 10 or 12 of them out left them in the fridge and took one at a time for shifts maybe two. They were absolutely fine. They did not crumble. They did not taste different. They weren’t more chewy less chewy they were perfect as if they were the day I bought them fresh. So know that they can be frozen. I know that they’re in a rapper and I probably didn’t have to put them in the air sucked bag however I do that with everything going into the freezer. That’s just me.As I said, they’re not greedy they’re not powdery not too chewy however they do have a downfall…. It’s called heat. If you are somewhere warm and they are being delivered to you make sure that they’re set somewhere cool or you’re home when they’re being delivered. If not, I have them sent somewhere where you can pick them up. The sun is not their friend. One health food store that I used to buy them at that was 200 miles away would not ship them in summer. That will give you an idea that the outside of them really does taste like chocolate and reacts like chocolate to the sun. They are that good I promise. It’s all I can do to share this information with you.Your job is to try them and love them, butJust don’t share them with anyone. If you do that, then we’ll never be able to find the ones we love. So for now, let’s keep it our little secretAnd by the way I have these on monthly subscription as they are that good handy. I just need to stop telling people about them! Sheesh!
