I ordered the 6 disc version of Coppola's masterpiece for very cheap considering some people are selling this specific set for £100 or more while here on the site at the moment its about £20 with free shipping. The package arrived in pristine condition and the artwork on the box itself is gorgeous. In regards to the discs themselves you get all 3 versions of the film all on 4K and blu ray and all have the exact same transfer (79 version and Redux are all on 1 disc) and speaking of the transfer..... This is the best the film has ever looked, this is a gorgeous transfer. Coppola and his team at American Zoetrope have done a magnificent job. Those who are use to the old blu ray might be in for a shock as the film has a different colour palette however the old blu ray used the Redux look which always looked over saturated all over and not what the original 79 version looked like.Now these transfers do something in between where the look is more natural or at times slightly desaturated but fires, explosions and smoke grenades are drenched in saturated vibrant hues, blacks are rich and deep without being crushed and skin tones appear more natural. Grain is still in the transfer thankfully giving an organic filmic appearance with very little DNR used, The fact the film was re-scanned in 4K for a new transfer instead of using the previous master is a huge credit to the team. This is the best Apocalypse Now has ever looked.In regards to the sound you get Dolby Atmos on all the films in 4K and only Dolby True HD for 79 and Redux on the blu ray. The film was ahead of it's time with the sound and really made use of surrounds back on release and the original sound technicians have usually overseen the mix for most or all home releases. Basically if you have a sound system be prepared for your Neighbours to be annoyed as you marvel in the fantastic soundscape of the atmosphere.Special features contain all the original supplements from the original set you get Hearts of Darkness documentary (one of the best making of ever) and tons of featurettes about the sound mix, release, the redux version, Coppola and Martin Sheen looking back, promotional material and Commentary from Coppola. Overall this set is gorgeous and having the choice of all 3 versions with the same picture quality makes this set 10/10If your a fan of the film and the price is still cheap on Amazon get it! you won't be disappointed
