Good book. Just got it this morning. Hardcover because that's the best version of any book made. The pages are crisp and feel great and the sound they make when you turn the page... I need a moment. I'm halfway through it and I appreciate the literary style. It's conversational like I'm chilling on the back deck trying to explain to Nick that I AM happily married but say, "Yes, Dear." often because it's easier than explaining why she's wrong. However she is correct 99% of the time. I have learned early in my own SOCOM story that it's often easier for people to be wrong, in non life threatening areas, than argue why I'm right. Or correct. See? Perspective. My step son, who in all accounts is an abject failure on all fronts, will read this book. It explains many things that I can't without putting hands on him or "securing the situation." IYKYK. I don't want him kicking in doors but he needs to learn how to properly cook a steak and talk to women and other asundry bits of simply being a man. Kids these days have no role models. I have a meeting tomorrow at lunch to talk to my Community Outreach Pastor about how I can engage more with the church. Should be good. Probably won't let me drink my pirate rum and kick in doors to evangelize. Could you imagine? Avast ye skurvy dog, heave to and prepare to accept thy Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. Here's your rum, we don't have wine. Women drink wine. Men drink whiskey or rum. Fight me.
