About This Product

New achievement! Total, utter failure. You failed a quest less than five minutes after you received it. Now that’s talent.A floating fortress occupied by warrior gnomes. A castle made of sand. A derelict submarine guarded by malfunctioning machines. A haunted crypt surrounded by lethal traps. It was supposed to be easy. One bubble. Four castles. Fifteen days. Capture each one, and the stairwell is unlocked. Here's the thing. It's never easy. Carl and his team can't go it alone. Not this time. They must rely on the help of the low-level, I-can't-believe-these-idiots-are-still-alive crawlers trapped in the bubble with them. But can they be trusted? Welcome, Crawler. Welcome to the fifth floor of the dungeon.

Customer Reviews Summary

Matt Dinniman dropped another chaotic beast of a book and I devoured it. This book was a wild, hilarious ride from start to finish and somehow he keeps making each level more chaotic, more clever, and way more addictive. We meet some fantastic new NPCs and crawlers, but also get to spend more time with the old crew (which I LOVED). The character moments hit just right. Also, someone give a standing ovation to the creepy AF AI with the foot fetish. I live for that weirdo. 😂The system messages? Gold. Literal gold. I laughed way too hard, way too often. And yes, I absolutely spammed my friends with screenshots of the funniest lines. But as always, the best part is Carl and Donut just roasting each other in the middle of life threatening insanity. Peak comedy. There’s plenty of world building, but not in a heavy handed way. It’s smooth, clever, and keeps you locked in. This level was wild. The ending flew by so fast I nearly flipped back just to make sure I didn’t miss something. But nope, Matt keeps the pacing sharp, the stakes high, and the pages impossible to stop turning. And that epilogue??? 😳 I’m not okay. I need the next book injected into my veins immediately. Can’t wait to see how Carl and Donut handle the chaos waiting for them next.
