This works extremely well. I tried it on several different types of cans, and each one worked perfectly. Handles snap together when it's ready to open can. It's fairly easy to turn and you can use it. Both right and left-handed.Just remember to have the can on a solid surface, because when it cuts through, the top will just come off. (Magnet) As with any side opener, the can has sharp edge. But the lid, it is safe to handle. I particularly like side opening can openers because you do not have food stick to the little lip on the inside, as with other openers.. ie dog food, cranberry sauce, pumpkin etc.I tried 2 others cheaper ones, and I had to get a refund because they would not work.
