Der Rodecaster ist ein wirklich geniales Gerät, vor allem in Zusammenarbeit mit den Rode Mikrofonen. ich verwende das Rode PodMic, dass auch sofort vom Gerät erkannt wird. Die Installation am Windows Rechner ist super einfach und unkompliziert. Mirko in den XLR-Anschluss und schon kann es losgehen. Ärger mit dem Audio Setup am Rechner gehört damit der Vergangenheit an.Gekauft habe ich das Gerät aber nicht um zu Hause am Rechner ein paar Aufnahmen zu machen. Das wäre auch mit einem guten USB Mirko gegangen.Mir ging es vor allem um Aufnahmen, die unterwegs gemacht werden sollen. Der Rodecaster ist ein komplettes Aufnahmestudio für das man keinen Rechner benötigt. Nicht mal einen Stromanschluss braucht man. Das Gerät kann kurzzeitig mit einer Powerbank betrieben werden und verrichtet dennoch seine Dienste. Es geht aber auch mit dem (optionalen) USB-Kabel, das man zum Beispiel an ein Handy-Ladegerät anschließt. Schon wird aus jedem Besprechungsraum mit Steckdose ein Aufnahmestudio. Und das mit vier angeschlossenen Mikrofonen und Multi-Track-Recording. Dazu kann man per Bluetooth ein Smartphone anschließen und noch einen weiteren Gesprächsteilnehmer dazu holen.Die Hot Buttons lassen sich mittels einer kleinen Software gut belegen. Man kann Jingles oder vorher eingesprochene Einspieler so während einer Aufnahme direkt einspielen, ohne dass man noch nacharbeiten muss. Insgesamt kann auf den drei Ebenen 14 Einspieler speichern.Wer ein sehr flexibles, portables Aufnahmegerät sucht, ist mit dem Rode sehr gut bedient. Und zu Haus auf dem Schreibtisch sieht es zudem hübsch aus.
