Key Features
- An ambitious new adventure set in Lumiose City awaits in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, coming to Nintendo Switch in late 2025. Explore the city, unravel its secrets and battle Pokémon like never before!
- An urban redevelopment plan is underway in Lumiose City! The goal: to turn it into a place Pokémon and people can truly share. Shortly after arriving, you’ll choose from one of these partner Pokémon to accompany you on your journey – Chikorita, Tepig or Totodile.
- Together, you can explore the streets of this vast city or visit Wild Zones – habitats where you’ll encounter wild Pokémon. To catch them, aim carefully and throw a Poké Ball or take them on with the help of the Pokémon on your team.
- For the first time ever, Trainers and their Pokémon will move around and take action in real time during battles. Pokémon will unleash their moves when their Trainers command them to. In addition to type matchups, there will be new mechanics to consider, such as the precise timing for swapping out your Pokémon or using moves, the different lengths of time moves will take to launch, and how big an area the moves will impact.
- In Lumiose City, Pokémon can go beyond Evolution by undergoing Mega Evolution! When a Trainer’s Key Stone resonates with the Mega Stone held by their Pokémon, the Pokémon will do more than just change shape and size – it will unlock a new level of power, which could turn the tide of battle!

Customer Reviews Summary
[TL;DR] I bought this copy of the game expecting same-day delivery but it got delayed by a day (which actually made it arrive on the Pokémon 30th anniversary!), and unlike other reviews, my copy was an English European/UK copy with a Pegi 7 rating instead of a Spanish copy with an E10+ rating, which was a nice surprise! The game is incredibly fun and addictive so far, and it's definitely the most immersive Pokémon game I've ever had! I wish I could've paid less for it, but especially at this price it was still totally worth the money!-For a while now I've been looking to get a new Pokémon game to play so I could prove to myself that my interest in the franchise wasn't just as a "merch brand," and Pokémon Legends Z-A has been on the top of my list since it was revealed, probably because I have such fond memories of playing Pokémon X and watching the anime during that same era, which was arguably the (second) modern height of the franchise (post-Sinnoh), so having another game set in my favorite region definitely grabbed my interest. Since the 30th anniversary was coming up (and I wanted a game that wasn't in the Kanto region again), I decided to get this one since it seemed like a reasonable price for a newer Switch game, or at least reasonable enough to take a risk on. It was supposed to arrive with same-day delivery but got delayed until the next day, which meant it actually arrived on the day of the 30th anniversary! If you're hesitant about getting this game because of negative reviews online or on YouTube, I'll admit that the gameplay is fairly different (and much more fast-paced and intense) compared to traditional mainline Pokémon installments, but personally I've been loving everything about it so far! A lot of aspects of the game are different from usual, but I think that makes it a much more unique experience compared to other newer games like Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl (or Fire Red/Leaf Green for that matter), and out of every Pokémon game I've ever played, this one by far feels the most immersive and roleplayable, and genuinely makes me feel like a part of the Pokémon world (even if that world is only as big as the Lumiose City open-world). The battling system feels very reminiscent of the anime Pokémon battles with how fast-paced and dynamic it is, and the way you can send out and retrieve your Pokémon in the open-world as well as during battles makes it actually feel like you're a Pokémon Trainer with a team of lovable creatures in your arsenal awaiting your command! My favorite thing about this game (something which X & Y initially introduced to the franchise) is how customizable the player character is! Not only does this game finally begin with a screen where you get to (nearly) fully customize your character's skin tone, hair color, eye color, and various other aspects of your appearance, but later in the game (fairly early on) you also get to change and customize your hair color/style even more, as well as visit clothing stores all over Lumiose City to shop for a relatively wide range of different clothing options that are actually pretty modular! I wish there were even more outfits available, maybe even including outfits worn by other Trainer characters from previous games (which I'd be willing to buy as DLC if that's what it takes...), but I was still able to create a character that looks the most like me out of any previous Pokémon game, with clothing almost identical to my outfit in Pokémon GO (which is pretty much the clothing I wear in real life). This is definitely the most immersive and dynamic Pokémon game I've ever experienced, and it almost makes me wish I paid full price for it! At the very least, it makes me wish I had it all this time since it was first released. In fact, it arrived just in time for me to receive the free Ralts + Gardevoir Mega Evolution Stone Mystery Gift before it expired the next day!As far as the game box/cartridge itself is concerned, there are a lot of other reviews on this page where buyers received a copy of "Leyendas Z-A" with Spanish text on the box and an E10+ rating. Apparently their game copies still played perfectly fine in English since you can select your language option at the beginning (unlike the "new" Fire Red/Leaf Green), and I was perfectly accepting of the fact that I would probably also receive a Spanish copy, which I wasn't thrilled about but at least it would cost less and if I didn't end up enjoying the game then it wouldn't be as big of a deal. But to my genuine surprise, the product I unboxed was a copy of "Legends Z-A" in English with a Pegi 7 rating instead of E10+ (just like the product images show), which means it must be some kind of English European/UK copy. Thankfully, it still functions exactly as intended on my American Switch, and based on my enjoyment of the game so far, I'm glad I received a copy in my native language to have in my ever-growing Pokémon collection! If you're thinking about getting this game (from this seller, for this price, compared to the Amazon listing for the U.S. release), I'd absolutely say "just go for it," and you might even be lucky enough to get an English copy if that's what you're expecting based on the product images! It's basically the same price as any used American copy I could find, but it arrived in 1.5 days in time for the anniversary and was in flawless mint condition! In spite of what YouTubers might want you to believe, I don't think you'll regret buying this game if you're a fan of Pokémon!
