Freya and Ben are preparing to attend a charity event, when Gillespie's call changes their plans, they arrive at a village allotment where a human skull has been unearthed. When Kate Southwells colleagues are probing the area they find not only a whole skeleton... but some remains of a second person.As thevteam carries out their investigations, the information stacks up like a jenga tower where each possible lead falls away, leaving Freya hoping that the next one stays in place giving them all the answers to this mystery.We see Freya doubting herself and Ben throwng things into the mix to see if it helps, and we also get a few giggles from Gillespie as he gets the wrong end of the stick when talking to a possible witness, and more of Cruz trying to be taken seriously but failing as he often does, but also having the occasional 'lightbulb' theory that is worth chasing.Again this book is full of twists and turns, hampered by the villagers who seem intent on putting the blame on one individual... who is an 'incomer' having only lived there for about a decade! Its only in the last few pages, that we find how the details add up to complete this investigation that had its beginnings years before and now finally put to rest.Brilliant page turning book.. as always that makes you think as part of Freya's team, 5🌟 isn't really good enough for this read is worthy of many more!!!
