About This Product

Succulents are easy to maintain, but they still need a great potting mix to thrive. Miracle-Gro Succulent Potting Mix is specially formulated for succulent houseplant care and made with Miracle-Gro plant food for premium nutrition. This succulent and cactus potting soil contains a blend of sphagnum peat moss, processed forest products, and plant food to help support your succulent's needs. Use this potting medium with indoor succulent plants, including aloe vera, cacti, echeverias, houseleek, burro's tail and more. To apply, select a pot with a drainage hole. Fill the pot 1/3 full of potting mix. Loosen your plant's root ball and place the plant in the pot. Add more succulent soil mix and press lightly. Water and let the mix drain. For even more spectacular results, begin feeding your plants with Miracle-Gro Indoor Plant Food for Cactus & Succulent 30 days after planting. One 4 qt. bag of Miracle-Gro Succulent Potting Mix fills one 8-inch container (amounts may vary based on the size of the root ball).

Customer Reviews Summary

I always try to use Miracle Grow products and this is my first choice in potting soil. It has fertilizer already in it, good texture with perlite, soil, and plant fiber mixed in so I don't have to add anything to it. Plants grow well in it and it is easy to use. It retains enough moisture but drains well too. I'm always surprised how much soil a pot can hold and usually need more than I think I will. I bought this bag to transplant a plant I bought in a number one container. The soil ball was a little too tall for the pot so I loosened the bottom and spread the roots out so they would fill the sides of the pot. I used half a bag of soil to fill in about two inches all around the root ball! I guess that shows how fluffy the soil is in the bag so be prepared to use more soil than you think you will.
