Ich habe mein Heimnetzwerk vor kurzem auf Glasfaser umgestellt und wollte sicherstellen, dass auf dem „letzten Meter“ zwischen Router, Switch und meinen Endgeräten kein Flaschenhals entsteht. Da herkömmliche CAT 6 oder CAT 7 Kabel oft an ihre Grenzen stoßen, wenn es um maximale Abschirmung und Zukunftssicherheit geht, habe ich mich für dieses CAT 8 Set entschieden. Nach einigen Wochen im Einsatz kann ich nur sagen: Ich bin absolut begeistert!Das Erste, was auffällt, ist das flache Design. Wer schon einmal versucht hat, dicke, runde Verlegekabel hinter einer Fußleiste oder unter einem Teppich zu verstecken, weiß, wie frustrierend das sein kann. Diese Kabel sind extrem flexibel und lassen sich wunderbar unauffällig verlegen. Trotz der flachen Bauweise fühlt sich das Material sehr wertig und robust an. Die Stecker sitzen fest und rasten mit einem deutlich hörbaren Klicken ein – kein Wackeln, kein instabiler Kontakt.Technisch halten die Kabel, was sie versprechen. Mit einer Bandbreite von 2000 MHz und einer Übertragungsrate von bis zu 40 Gbps sind sie für aktuelle Anforderungen (selbst für anspruchsvolles 4K/8K-Streaming oder Cloud-Gaming) eigentlich schon überdimensioniert – aber genau das wollte ich: „Peace of Mind“. Dank der SSTP-Abschirmung (Shielded Screened Twisted Pair) gibt es keinerlei Interferenzen, selbst wenn die Kabel direkt neben Stromleitungen liegen. In meinen Messungen ist der Ping beim Gaming spürbar stabiler geworden, und Datenübertragungen im lokalen Netzwerk (NAS) laufen am absoluten Limit meiner Hardware.Besonders praktisch ist das 2er-Set. Mit 1 Meter Länge eignen sie sich perfekt als Patchkabel im Netzwerkschrank oder um die Konsole bzw. den PC direkt mit der Wanddose zu verbinden, ohne dass unnötiger Kabelsalat entsteht. Die vergoldeten RJ45-Stecker sind ein schönes Detail, das die Langlebigkeit und Korrosionsbeständigkeit unterstreicht.Fazit:Wer keine Kompromisse bei der Geschwindigkeit eingehen will und Wert auf eine saubere, flache Verlegung legt, ist hier genau richtig. Man bekommt hier Profi-Leistung zum fairen Preis in einem praktischen Doppelpack.
