4.75 starsI still love this book. Garrett Graham is still my OG hockey book boyfriend. My very first hockey romance, and the one that started my love for sports romance in general.This is my second time reading it - I wanted to do a re-read before the show releases next month.I started with an immersive read, and the audiobook is dual narration. The female narrator wasn't the vibe, very whiny, so I switched to eyeballing it only (the male narrator Christian Fox was such a good Garrett though!). I honestly don't think the audiobook does this book justice.Hannah and Garrett are students at Briar U. A hockey player and a musician/singer. They cut a deal - she'll tutor him in exchange for being seen with him to make her crush jealous. The banter is so snarky and so good. She doesn't care that he's this star hockey player, it doesn't phase her. She knocks his ego down a peg or two in the best way, and it makes for some great back and forth. A friendship quickly forms, and then it gets deeper. I love that Hannah gets to see a different side of Garrett. He's willing to do anything to make her feel safe and comfortable, but he's still going to be a cocky flirt. The tension was immaculate. The payoff was mmmm so worth it! Tender, intimate, and very heated!We get introduced to the rest of the Off-Campus boys (Logan, Tucker, Dean) + Allie, and it reminds me how much I love this series!
