Decisions, desicions. Here's my turntable album only 2 cents worth. The first UK pressing is obviously a prize collection but because of it's value (hundreds running into a thousand plus) some people would be afraid to play it so what's the point? Some say the vintage UK 2nd edition is one of the best but suprise, suprise, the track time on side one is cut short. There are also other vintage pressings from the Netherlands, Germany etc.My personal favorite and I've reviewed several is the 1973 original Canadian pressing which is arguably one of the best recordings because it has punch! When translated that means the lows, highs and mids rock like no other with full track times. Some say it's a bit harsh... Huh? A decent VG+ to M- copy isnt cheap at $50 to $80.The bottom line is that I recently purchased this 2023 remastered 50th aniversary copy. It is excellent and available from Amazon (Thank you Amazon!) for the very reasonable price of $34.99. Although it has been remastered with a smoother sound and a little less punch, just crank it up a bit if you want. Regardless of the Dark Side of the Moon vintage frenzy and if you are ready to pull th trigger grab a brand new 50th aniversary copy of this great album in a cool new black mat cover with posters and stickers from Amazon. The track times are within seconds of the Canadian 1973 original. Yes, it was remastered with advanced digital technology but it's importand to know the playback is Analog on a turtable. You wont be dissapointed.
