After a night of drinking, they wake up without clothes and realize they spent the night doing more than drinking. When she finally gets back to Kroydon Hills she is shocked to find out that she has a 3 month old sister who she now has to take care of while her mother is in jail. When her best friend offers to let them come stay with him, she is shocked to learn that the house is in fact owned by his brother.Jamie has always had a thing for his younger brother’s best friend, but their past has kept him away for years. Now that she’s living in his house, he can’t force himself to stay away, from her, or the baby she brought into his home. I have a habit of not always reading the synopsis before starting a book, so I had a few happy surprises along the way. This story had me swooning right from the beginning (hello hot football player holding a baby?), but moreso it was the way Jamie provided quiet support to Ashton, knowing what she needed before she did. When we get the full story on their past, my heart broke for them both and the time they lost, but knowing they were both in a place where they could find their happily ever after made it so worth it.
