I used this for seed starting. It’s very easy to use just plug it in. It made tomatoes germinate much faster (like in half the time or better) and sped up germination for other things too. It heats up fully in several hours to a day but sometimes longer if the room and floor is cold. It’s even effective on a pot. Like I use it for cilantro (only containers) which should be direct sown and it seems to improve the germination rate and speed things up even though it’s so gentle.Yeah the one “con” is how gentle it is. It doesn’t get that hot but it’s good enough.It’s water resistant but still be careful and safe. Also ignore the chart where it suggests that heat helps lettuce germinate. Lettuce prefers normal to cool soil temperatures so the heat mat could actually be harmful. I don’t see the point anyways it germinates quickly.
