Worked well out of box. It was odd how it asks to connect your previous Switch and you can say no. But when I say no later on to redeem the Mario Kart game from the store it said I HAD to connect my old Switch to the new one. I have no idea why it requires that, I thought just having your same Nintendo account was enough. But after it's done it takes the game 3+hours to actually download and be useable which I wish I knew beforehand.I like that the controllers don't slide in anymore but just go in almost like magnets. They made the attachments for the controllers (with the strings) a bit confusing but they have a + and - so you can line it up correctly.It came with a HDMI cord and the switch 2 stand to have it slide in to be used with the TV. It gets a bit hot in there but it's easier to line up than the Switch 1. I'm never sure when I will need to charge the controllers though.I do wish they had've stuck with physical game options for such a high price for digital games, and lower the cost for their digital only games. I am happy with the Switch 2 so far. I like that the screen is bigger. Hoping the controllers never have that drift issue like the previous version.
