So I know Seangares, Shazham and Hiko (Maybe not Hiko, I think he uses the Cloud I's) use this headset. I decided to buy it thanks to the black Friday sale in hopes of upgrading from my Razer Krakens. What you need to know about this headset is that the quality is superb. The sound is great and the microphone is also good. I play using the 7.1 surround sound and so far it's actually not bad considering what everyone else is saying about it on the web.Things pertaining specifically to CS:GO.This headset seems to be 0 or 100, the bass is so good that all gun firing sounds will either destroy your eardrums or be too quiet. This is a problem because the footstep sounds are quieter I notice, and this combined with gun sounds being boosted... You get the idea. Natural hard time hearing footsteps and gun fire making you deaf is a bad combination. There also isn't any controls to change bass or equalizer settings so you can't change this.Next is on directional sound using 7.1 surround sound. It actually isn't bad. Although footsteps are harder to hear they are very accurate in my opinion. The only thing is it takes a bit to get used to. The DIRECTION is accurate but the distance is a bit off. It just seems like anything near is super loud even though it isn't beside you so to speak. This also probably ties into the gun sound problem too. Gun sounds are fine for other distances, but if you're the one firing then you're going to go deaf.Overall I think this is a great headset. It'll take a bit longer to get completely used to, but in the end no regrets. I'll just go into a local server and ask my friend to walk around certain places on the map to get used to what that sounds like. Also, I figured I would just deal with the blasting sound. It's not too big of a deal. If it means anything in terms of credibility for this review, I'm ranked DMG right now. On a closing note, the noise cancelling works great. If you take off the headphones you will hear the sound blasting, but when you put them on there's no sound leak. Hope you guys get one, it's super comfortable and great quality!
