I first got to know Enhulk after I bought some Linkind wifi bulbs made by AiDot - I think they are part of the same company. The bulbs were excellent, so when I needed a new leaf blower in the Spring, I bought an Enhulk Cordless blower which was also excellent - light, easy to use and perfect for the 10 trees on my lot.With the winter coming, and after over 30 years of clearing my driveway and walkway in Toronto with a regular snow shovel, I thought I’d treat myself for my 80th birthday and get the Enhulk Cordless Electric Snow shovel — specifically the 13-inch cordless model as it comes with 2 x 20V batteries which give it a long operating time - more than enough time to complete my property.The shovel is easy to assemble, and doesn’t feel too heavy to use. One great feature is it has adjustable vanes so you can direct where it throws the snow - useful when you are clearing a sidewalk as you can always throw the snow into the road and let the city remove it - that’s what we pay taxes for!The shovel cuts through light to moderate snow (up to about 6 inches deep) with ease. It acts like a miniature snow blower, scooping and tossing snow over 20 feet away. My property has a double car drive and around 60 feet of sidewalk and a long staircase up to my door - this would normally take 25–30 minutes of hard manual shovelling, but now it takes only about 10 minutes — and with much less effort. There’s still a little bit of pushing involved, but it’s more like vacuuming your driveway than acting as a “human snow plow” that you often have to do if the shovel manually.For dry, powdery snow, it performs brilliantly. Wet, heavy snow is a bit trickier; the motor is under more strain, so if you try to clear 8 inches of wet snow, the motor will likely stall and cut out. I’ve found the best way to clear heavy snow is to take several “cuts”- take the top 4 to 6 inches or so off and then come back and clear the rest.The unit is lightweight and easy to operate, and is much less tiring than manual shovelling. The 13 inch model I have, with its 2 x 20 volt batteries, runs about 25 to 30 minutes on a full charge, which is more than enough for me - I have enough power left to do a quick clean up of the sidewalks on either side of my property - it always helps to be a good neighbour!If you enjoy a workout or only clear small patches of snow, then traditional shovelling still makes sense. But if you want to save your back, time, and energy, then I’ve found an Enhulk electric snow shovel is a great investment — particularly for frequent light snowfalls. It won’t replace a full snow blower for deep drifts, but it’s the perfect middle ground between manual labour and mechanized convenience.
