Our guys know what they did and are not making excuses for it. They are dedicated to earning Avery’s forgiveness, but there’s other quads that have noticed our beautiful and powerful girl too. This book isn’t just about their journey for forgiveness. There’s an entire plot going on here too. We’re delving deeper into the mystery surrounding the death of Elijah’s mother. We began this in the last book but we are making some good progress in the hunt for information. I loved reading more about the dynamics of the guardian camp, Avery is making waves in her effort to be the first female guardian and not everyone is happy about it.I’m also going to throw in my love for Ian. I love how her brother is just such a support system, while also allowing her to live her own life and make her own decisions. I really, really love his addition to the story. Avery’s entire family is just *chef’s kiss*.I loved this book so much. It was an amazing sequel to the first amazing book and now I start the mental countdown until we get the next one. Sigh. The cliffhanger wasn’t brutal but I am desperate for the continuation of Avery and the Blackwell quad’s story. Elizabeth Dear has knocked it out of the park.
