Debbie seems boringly typical mom to her two daughters, but they have no idea what bubbles beneath her surface and how deeply rooted in her own past trauma that her protectiveness extends. If Debbie is wronged, she will seek revenge. And a whole cluster of wrongs befall her, her husband, and her daughters, so we get to see Debbie get to work on vengeances both petty (neighbors playing music too loudly) to extreme (although you might understand if you’ve had a bad boss.).
