TRENDOUX vs Achiou Touchscreen Gloves: Both $6.99 Live, and the TRENDOUX Cuff Wins My NYC Commute

Both of these budget touchscreen knit gloves are $6.99 on Amazon today, down from $9.99. I'd take the TRENDOUX for its snug elastic cuff and slightly better rating, and the Achiou if you walk fast and run hot.

Verdict: Both of these touchscreen knit gloves are $6.99 live on Amazon today, October 30, 2026, each marked down from a $9.99 list price. At the same price, I'd buy the TRENDOUX touchscreen gloves for a New York commute. The thick elastic cuff keeps wind out of your sleeve, the palm is fully covered in silicone grip, and it has the slightly better rating on more reviews. Get the Achiou touchscreen gloves instead if you walk fast or run in them and your hands run hot.

I cover fashion and beauty from New York, and the end of October is when I start digging through my coat pockets for gloves on the walk to the subway. I want something cheap enough to lose, thin enough to text in, and not ugly. I am not running a lab test or a temperature rating here. I am comparing two of the most-reviewed budget knit gloves on Amazon, on the same day, at the same price, so you can pick one and move on.

What it is

Both are thin, stretchy, unisex knit gloves with conductive fingertips so you can use your phone without taking them off, and a silicone grip pattern on the palm. Both are shipped by Amazon, in stock to my 10001 ZIP, and I checked the black version of each.

The TRENDOUX gloves are $6.99 (list $9.99), sold by ALPSBUY. They show 4.3 stars from 78,950 ratings. The listing says the conductive material is on the thumb, index, and middle finger, the palm is fully covered in triangle silicone, the lining is a soft brushed nap, and the wrist is a thickened elastic cuff meant to keep snow and wind out. Our catalog card still says $5.99 for this ASIN. That is out of date; $6.99 is the live price.

The Achiou gloves are also $6.99 (list $9.99), sold by Achiou US. They show 4.2 stars from 67,298 ratings. Achiou says the fingertips have more conductive yarn than standard gloves, uses three touchscreen fingers and a triangle silicone grip palm too, and pitches the knit as breathable, so it vents heat and moisture. Amazon lists the shell as 86% acrylic with a polyester lining, and the care is hand wash. Our catalog matches the live price here: $6.99.

On paper they are close to the same glove. The real differences are the cuff and how each brand describes warmth versus breathability.

Who it's for

Buy the TRENDOUX if your winter is mostly standing on a subway platform, waiting for a bus, or walking a few blocks in wind. A snug cuff matters more than people think. Cold air going up your wrist is what makes cheap gloves feel useless. For the same $6.99, I'd take the one built around keeping that gap closed.

Buy the Achiou if you wear gloves while moving: a fast walk to work, a dog walk at a jog, or an easy run. The brand's whole pitch is breathability, and sweaty hands in a knit glove get cold fast once you stop. It also comes in a wider spread of sizes and colors on the listing, so check that page if the TRENDOUX size you need is out.

At $6.99, either one is a fine pair to keep in a coat pocket and a spare in your bag.

Who should skip

Skip both if you want real cold-weather gloves for a ski trip or a long stretch outside in a deep freeze. These are thin knit liners with a brushed lining. Neither listing gives a temperature rating, and I would not guess one. Look at an insulated, windproof glove instead, or wear one of these as a liner under it.

Skip them if you want a leather or cashmere glove that looks dressed up with a wool coat. These look like what they are: sporty knit gloves.

Nits

  • Neither is waterproof. Wet snow or slush will soak through a knit glove, so these are for dry cold days.
  • Sizing matters with touchscreen gloves. If the fingertips are loose, the conductive part does not land on the screen. Check each listing's size chart rather than guessing.
  • Both listings use near-identical "triangle silicone" and "touchscreen" wording, so do not expect a big difference in grip or texting. Pick on cuff and fit.
  • Our catalog had the TRENDOUX at $5.99. Today it is $6.99 on Amazon. Glove prices move a lot once it gets cold, so check the live listing.
