I can’t stop thinking about this book. I absolutely loved it! This is how to write a stand-alone. It felt epic but at the same time I whizzed through it and could’ve read more. It completely hooked me in right from the start and kept me hooked all the way through. It was addictive.It’s a dark, fantasy romance with a fantastic plot and some pretty spicy scenes 🌶️. The world-building and magic system aren’t complicated to follow but are unique and really interesting. This was gritty and a bit of an emotional rollercoaster honestly. So many plot twists and surprises that really keep you on your toes.Both MCs had experienced trauma and dealing with the outcome of that in their own ways. I absolutely loved the two MCs - Harlow and Henry. Their chemistry and banter were fantastic. So much slow burn tension and angst. Harlow was a fantastic FMC - just the right amount of defiance and independence . I loved her whole story arc. Henry was a fantastic MMC - determined to exact his vengeance no matter what. Both have so many secrets that get revealed throughout the story but I still didn’t manage to piece everything together. So all the reveals hit hard!I loved how the whole story was finished. I will definitely be rereading this book! 🖤
