Customer Reviews Summary

I’ve been shooting with Nikon cameras for more than 30 years. The ZR marks the first dedicated video/cinema camera, and the first Nikon-RED collaboration. It’s spectacular to see how much they managed to pack in such a small platform. Keeping that in mind, this is a wonderful camera, and I’m sure Nikon will keep making it better through firmware updates. Just make sure you have plenty of fast storage and memory cards because to get the most of this camera (6K R3D), the files will be very big. I also have the Z8, which is an excellent choice if you do a lot of hybrid (stills and video). If your goal is mainly high quality video, the ZR will not disappoint.
