First off, let me just say how happy I am to be back with the Windy City characters again. Slipping back into this world felt so familiar and comforting and it immediately made me want to reread Caught Up and Play Along again.Reese and Monty’s story is so good. Their bickering had me smiling constantly, and the chemistry between them felt effortless and natural. I highlighted so many moments while reading - those little exchanges that made me laugh, swoon, or pause because they just hit right. Their dynamic is one of those that pulls you in and makes it hard to put the book down.“Have a good night, Reese.”“Don’t tell me what to do,” she calls back.I burst a laugh. Maybe this sparring thing isn’t so bad.Liz had me crying both happy and sad tears, especially when it came to Monty, Miller, and Max. There isn’t necessarily new information here - we already experienced these moments in Caught Up - but it still hit just as emotionally the second time around.I love these characters so much, and getting to experience these moments again was truly special. 🥰 Emmet “I lift heavily for a reason” Montgomery, I love you.
