This is a beautiful animated film, very deserving of getting the Criterion treatment. I really, really wished, Criterion would see things my way and included a High Def Digital Copy of their movies, especially for the MSRP asking price of these titles, but they do not. :-( Bought on deal, this was a must have for me. I would argue, that this is a must have film for any serious movie lover. It is beautifully illustrated and wonderfully imaginative and just visually stunning. There are no people or actual dialogue of human language in this movie, but the rich imagery and clever story keep it very interesting and the viewer engaged. Even my young kids enjoy viewing this film (...for a good while). I love this movie and highly recommend viewing and owning a copy of it, because it is that good.
